Mark C Jacobson, MD
Dr. Jacobson is considered a thought leader in the specialty of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He has been recognized by both Chicago Magazine and Castle Connolly as a Regional Top Doctor since 2016. Dr. Jacobson is a Past President of the Illinois Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (ISAAI.org). He has also served on its Continuing Education Committee and Executive Board.
Dr. Jacobson is Board-Certified in Pediatric and Adult Allergy and immunology by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology. He has been in private practice since 1995 after completing his Fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center.
Doctor Jacobson currently teaches family practice residents from Hinsdale Hospital, La Grange Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. In addition, he is a fellow and a spokesperson for both the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.

Doctor Jacobson has lectured extensively on the subjects of Allergic Rhinitis, Asthma, Sinusitis, Chronic Cough, Urticaria/Angioedema, Pediatric Allergy, and Stinging Insect Hypersensitivity. Dr. Jacobson has staff privileges at Hinsdale Hospital, LaGrange Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his three kids, wife, and friends. He is an avid sports fan and loves following his favorite Chicago sports teams, especially the recent World Series Champions on the North Side. Dr. Jacobson also enjoys reading, mostly nonfiction (there is so much to learn!), listening to podcasts, and working out.

Doctor Jacobson in the News
Ross Tanis, MD
Dr. Tanis was born in Michigan and attended Michigan State University as an undergrad (go green!). He grew up in South Carolina and attended the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC, for his master’s and medical degrees. He completed his Internal medicine training at Loyola University Medical Center and his Allergy/Immunology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.
He has been an active researcher and has published numerous papers in various fields of medicine. While at the University of Wisconsin, he performed research on the development of Atopic Dermatitis, and this work is still in progress. He remains interested in research pertaining to the development of Allergies and new therapies for Allergic Diseases.
Dr. Tanis is excited to live in the Midwest again and join Allergy & Asthma Physicians. He is looking forward to growing his practice and providing personalized care to each of his patients. Dr. Tanis has staff privileges at UChicago Medicine Advent Health Hinsdale Hospital and MacNeal Hospital.

Dr. Tanis enjoys playing golf in his free time. His extended family lives in South Carolina so he also enjoys visiting there and taking advantage of the warm weather activities. He is expecting his first child soon and is looking forward to spending time with his new family of 3!
